| The camera rig consisted of two 35mm motion picture cameras configured for stereoscopic recording. The cameras were fitted with wide-angle lenses and 60 frame-per-second motors. The rig was on a motorized tripod which rotated once per minute. The entire system weighed 500 pounds but was relatively portable. It is shown here filming in Timbuktu. (photo: Gilles Tasse) |
