El Camino is a short sequence from the Visual Almanac, an
early prototype program produced by the Apple Multimedia Lab. El
Camino is a split-screen comparison of a well-known mile in Silicon
Valley. The footage comes from a California State Department of
Transportation photogrammetry project, which has been filming highways
with a special camera triggered 1 frame every 52.8 feet, or 100
frames per mile.
